Speculation has continued that the former finance director of the Adare Printing Group, Peter Lynch, has tabled a second bid to secure control of the print-giant. Sources claimed that the bid is higher than the one from a consortium fronted by Adare chief executive Nelson Loane.
Lynch remarked: "Loane has been under due diligence for a couple of weeks, so Im behind. But Ive still got my eye on the ball."
An Irish Independent report said that negotiations between Adares non-executive committee and Loane were nearing their climax.
Committee spokesman Jim Milton said that if a bid from Lynch was being considered it would have been formally acknowledged. "No such announcement has been made," he added.
