Fujifilm ISIG, its Bedford-based software development wing has launched the Enterprise version, which is built on an SQL database rather than FileMaker Pro used by the standard version. Book printer Biddles, part of the Baird group, with divisions in Guildford and Kings Lynn has become the first firm to buy the Enterprise version. It joins around 40 firms that are already using the standard version.
VBMS is now available in Mac OS X and Windows XP compatible versions across the whole product range.
New modules have added web-based asset management and remote proofing for clients. VBMS Web Viewer offers browser based viewing, annotation, ordering and delivery of digital files and costs 8,000-15,000. VBMS Proof Viewer, which is available as a standalone product or integrated with VBMS, enables clients to sign-off and annotate files remotely.
We think a lot of people buying Web Viewer and Proof Viewer as standalone products said Fujifilm ISIG manager Andy Walker.
