The total number of certificates issued during the period from April to October this year was 357, which includes 58 in Europe alone.
In the UK during the six-month period, printers such as CTD Printers and Cox & Wyman attained FSC accreditation, as did paper merchants James McNaughton, Premier Paper and PaperCo as well as paper agent Sun Paper & Board.
Paper producer Arjo-Wiggins' Stoneywood and Ivybridge mills also achieved FSC certification, as did Smurfit Townsend Hook.
Meanwhile, according to the UK Working Group, more eucalyptus pulp has come on the market from various sources in the past year, with China now supplying both hardwood and softwood kraft pulp.
