Fresh Media Group purchases Vision

Fresh Media Group (FMG) has bought Vision, the catalogue design and repro firm with sites in Milton Keynes and London.

FMG, which generates most of its revenues from its core magazine division, Colour Systems, has been looking to buy catalogue and packaging pre-press companies ever since its formation last July.

"This latest move keeps FMG on the aggressive growth path set out in our long-term strategy," said the company's chief executive Les Pipe.

Vision will move to a purpose built 450m2 site in Islington, north London, over the next six months.

Vision managing director Deborah Hall said: "We are pleased to be joining a group with a solutions-focused approach to client relationships. Vision clients will have access to FMG's impressive offering."

Vision will offer its existing clients services from other FMG firms, including Colour Systems, integrator Applecart and retouching from Size Creative.

Vision specialises in catalogue work and recently won a contract from the White Company. It also has publication contracts with Dennis Publishing, Illustrated London News and Forward Publishing (PrintWeek, 21 April).

The firm gained its London office when it bought Graphic Ideas (PrintWeek, 6 December 2002).
