Folex group acquires Regulus

Substrate specialist Folex has bought German large-format poster media company Regulus.

The move will see the Swiss-headquartered firm expand its position as a supplier of print media, including a wide range of wide-format films.

Former Regulus owner Ralf Koenig will continue to work for the Swiss-headquartered
firm, retaining his role as managing director of Regulus while also assuming responsibility for sales and marketing of large-format and digital print media for the entire group.

Regulus, which is based in Erlangen, near Nuremberg, Germany, will remain as a standalone operation, the brand will be retained and the production facility kept. It joins Folex’ two sites manufacturing sites, one in Seewen, Switzerland, and the other in Cologne, Germany.

"We are delighted to have Regulus as a partner and a film finisher with special technical capabilities and a great competence in various growth markets," said Folex managing partner Martin Schleußner.
