The two-press site, which prints local and national titles including the Derby Evening Telegraph and The Daily Mail is now scheduled to resume full production by the beginning of May.
The first two units of the four-high tower were installed on Sunday, with the second two installed on Monday, a week after production for The Daily Mail resumed at the plant.
The tower was put out of action in January after a fire broke out in its ground floor.
General manager Ken Calderwood estimated that the full programme of rewiring, testing and recommissioning would take four weeks to complete.
Calderwood said he could not "speak highly enough of the immense effort" from his staff to maintain consistent production in "difficult and pressurised circumstances" since the fire.
He also praised Goss' onsite team and supportive contract customers.
