FlowDrive 5 the latest version of its commercial print workflow uses Eclipse, the latest version of Global Graphics Harlequin RIP.
Our products and customers will see gains in production flexibility and performance as a result of the RIP, said Kresten Tang Andersen, Esko-Graphics workflow production manager.
He singled out its impressive new trapping, colour management and proofing for praise.
There is more demand for high-level colour management as awareness rises about the quality and workflow efficiency that can be achieved.
Esko-Graphics has also upgraded its packaging workflow software PackEdge 3.0, and plate-layout and step and repeat software for packaging and labels Plato 2.0.
Features in the new version of PackEdge include integration with Eskos workflow server BackStage and a new automated trapping module ColorStitch.
Plato 2.0 can extract varnish plate information from ArtiosCAD, adds automated folding carton step & repeat and can export data to Polar guillotines.
BackStageEdit and PlatoEdit are new client/server versions of Plato and PackEdge that work with BackStage.
Frank Adegeest, senior product manager for packaging applications software, said: We have provided stronger input and output file compatibility.
