Editor Jamie Maclean described the decision as "completely a cost issue".

"I feel on the one level very sad to leave print editions, but I'm also excited by online."

The title was printed by Stephens & George with a print run of around 5,000 copies. It was first published in 1995 and produced 10 times a year with eight 80-page issues and two double issues with 108 pages.

The magazine will charge for online access, although some articles such as reviews will be free. It will also look to introduce micropayment facilities and add multimedia content including audio and video in subsequent issues.
