Kelvinside has bought Merseyside-based commercial printer Ecolco and expects to complete another two or three acquisitions this year, according to chairman Brian Molloy.
The buy completes the groups product range in the North West, adding litho to its digital and screen printing facilities.
Ecolco provides a complete design-to-print service including in-house repro, finishing and project management.
"Were looking to add to the project management with the products from the rest of the group," said managing director and former owner Phil Donohue. "We can now offer a far wider range of services including digital print, exhibition graphics, direct mail and plastic cards."
Ecolco, which had sales of 1.25m last year, has a range of clients in finance, local government and education. Products include brochures, direct marketing, report and accounts and corporate stationery.
It is in the final stages of going CTP and plans to add a new B2 press this year.
