The press will add valuable capacity to the companys new 8,500m2 facility, as well as its new 24-hour service for the display and exhibitions market, promising next-day delivery after receiving print-ready artwork.
Oc has also sold an Arizona T220 flatbed ink-jet printer to sign specialist James Gray Group (JG Group) in Enfield, London.
JG Group managing director Malcolm Gray said the T220 would allow the firm to start pulling in more work now, rather than later next year when it plans to move to larger premises. It has already picked up a new contract from restaurant chain Yo! Sushi, using the T220 to print directly onto corrugated polycarbonate.
Colourgen, the large-format distributor, will be selling the Seiko I Infotech ColorPainter 64S from early 2004. The 23,000 press offers outdoor durability for up to three years.
