Durst ups roll-to-roll Rho productivity with autospool software

Durst has introduced software that it claims can significantly reduce turnaround times by automating the workflow.

When the Rho Autospooling Software has the auto queue feature turned on, any files submitted from Caldera's Grand Rip+ are downloaded to the Rho printer's workstation and automatically printed.

Time saving is achieved by automating functions that previously had to be carried out at the printer using the touch-screen interface.

Pre-defined settings in the job ticket including number of copies, number of print passes, glossy or matt finish, uni- or bi-directional operation and frontlit or backlit output are picked up by the printer to ensure correct output.

Rho Autospooling Software is available for the Rho 320R and Rho 500R roll-to-roll printers and supports single or multi-roll printing: up to three rolls. Printed jobs are automatically deleted from the Rho workstation but a job list is saved that can be viewed in MS Excel or exported to MIS software.
