Downey & Co has had to cope with a massively increased workload on its copper plate printing set-up after Andersen Consulting changed its name.
The Great Yarmouth-based printer, which specialises in engraving, has worked with Andersen for more than a decade and was called on to handle the group's rebranding to Accenture.
With 1 January as the beginning of year zero for the management consultant, compliment slips, labels, envelopes and letterheads had to be reprinted - as did all staff business cards.
Both parties refused to reveal the value of the contract. But Downey provided all material for the UK and Ireland offices, as well as some undisclosed locations in the rest of Europe.
Accenture's 6,000 UK-based professional staff received 100 business cards each - a grand total of 600,000 business cards alone.
Everything bar labels and business forms - which were printed on Heidelberg GTOs - carried some form of engraving, said Downey finance director Chris Turner. And in the next couple of months Downey will move to watermarked paper as standard for all Accenture stock.
"It is high-quality engraved stationery," Turner said, "which means this is an even bigger job than it sounds."
