Donnelley names new leaders

RR Donnelley has put in place the leadership teams for the three new businesses that will be created when the business is broken up later this year.

Thomas Quinlan, currently the group’s president and chief executive officer, will become chairman and chief executive officer of the $3.5bn (£2.5bn) LSC Communications operation. Judith Hamilton, currently the chair of RRD’s governance, responsibility and technology committee will become lead director of the LSC board.

LSC Communications includes book, magazine and catalogue printing, as well as print management.

Daniel Knotts, currently RRD’s chief operating officer, will be chief executive of RR Donnelley & Sons Company, the $7bn turnover communications management operation. RRD’s chairman John Pope will become chairman of this company, which encompasses business process outsourcing, commercial and digital print.

Donnelley Financial Solutions will be headed up by chief executive Daniel Leib, currently RRD’s chief financial officer and executive vice president. Richard Crandall, who currently sits on RRD’s governance, responsibility and technology committee, will become its chairman. Donnelley Financial Solutions will have sales of around $1bn and specialises in printed and electronic communications for global finance and investment markets.

RRD announced the new names for the separate businesses in February.
