Launched at Fespa 2024, the 760sqm/hr, 600x1,800dpi machine had secured 15 European sales prior to the show. The model on display was bought on Tuesday by Croatian reseller Fortuna Digital Group.
DGI has now effectively doubled its future install base for the machine, also selling 15 models from its entry-level Hercules range.
Bryan Choi, DGI’s CEO, put the good sales down to the quality of visitor, his firm’s aggressive pricing, and DGI’s own European support centre – which, he said, marks the firm out from some other Asian competitors.
“Fespa is one of the most crowded shows in the year. We always have very high-quality visitors, they’re not just coming to take a look: they’re serious printers, and they’re looking to buy,” he said.
