Customers of US e-commerce platform DemandBridge will now be able to put orders through to printers around the world, following a partnership between it and Dutch print broker service Peecho.

Peecho offers on-demand digital printing as a ‘plug and print’ service, meaning that companies in the US that use DemandBridge will be able to sell printed products abroad, with Peecho distributing thousands of jobs to local printers in its network each day.

The agreement, inked 28 June, made DemandBridge one of Peecho’s largest clients to date.

Glenn Miller, DesignBridge’s president of distributor management systems, said the partnership would “revolutionise” his company’s clients’ approach to print logistics.

He said: “By expanding our DB Commerce platform with a robust global print network, DemandBridge is empowering them to think globally and streamline their printing processes.

“Aside from extending their reach into new international markets, it enhances their customer service and boosts their competitive advantage.

“In the end, this provides them with a more predictable cost structure, faster supply chain times, and a seamless printing experience."

The on-demand, on-shore model for exported print will likewise offer drastically reduced carbon emissions for each exported job, compared to shipping products.

Lachlan Hicks, partnerships and new market development manager at Peecho, added that the partnership was an exciting opportunity for the team.

He said: “DemandBridge has been a huge player in the US e-commerce ecosystem for many years.

“Now that we've teamed up to enable international ordering capabilities, we're confident domestic and international clients will be thrilled to collaborate on a global scale."
