The 965x1,300mm eight-colour press will be used for four-back-four book production and to expand the firm's contract printing capabilities.
It will be housed in a new press hall at the firm's West Ward Works in Dundee. Other parts of the spend include a Creo Magnus VLF platesetter and a large-format highly spec'd MBO buckle folder from Friedheim International.
The firm, which publishes newspapers, magazines and comics, has configured the press to give it the option of fitting a RapidKut reel sheeter.
