Managing director Keith Chapman (pictured) said that the speciality paper maker had to continually examine new areas and markets where its skills could be used more effectively.
The first initiative that the firm is undertaking is to implement an organisational development programme for its senior managers.
The second is market research to identify profitable new products and sales areas. The company intends to launch at least 10 new products per year, although Chapman said some of these could just be style changes.
A third project will aim to increase the firm's operating efficiency by reducing production waste at the Guardbridge mill.
Curtis Fine Papers produces 30,000 tonnes per year of speciality papers.
