C&T Matrix strengthens technical team with new hire

Creasing matrix and profile rubbers manufacturer C&T Matrix has strengthened its commercial and technical team with the appointment of a new technical sales manager for the UK and Europe.

Howard Mead, who joined the Wellingborough, Northamptonshire-based company in the newly created role earlier this month, has 25 years of experience in the die-cutting and die-making industry.

Mead’s most recent role was at Cito UK where he worked for 18 years, as technical sales manager and then sales director.

C&T Matrix managing director Simon Shenton said: “In recent years C&T has renewed its focus on its domestic market with increased dedicated UK stock, an improved UK customer service team and enhanced technical support on the ground.

“The appointment of Howard is the final step of our UK strategy to reposition C&T Matrix as the leading solution provider for all corrugated convertors, carton producers and print finishers in the UK.”

Mead added: “My responsibility will be the UK and also Europe so I’ll be bringing all my skills to the fore with that. I’ll also be giving a hand in developing new products, offering technical support to customers and ensuring that our quality enhances our customers’ products.

“It’s been refreshing to be part of the great team at C&T. Simon and the team are all very keen to increase our sales and improve our already good customer service to an outstanding service.”

C&T Matrix sells and distributes its products to more than 80 countries worldwide. It offers several brands of creasing matrices including XTC, Pink, Kiss, Corrugate and Jazz.

The business also manufactures and supplies a broad range of accessories for die-making, die-cutting and print finishing, including ejection rubbers, counter material and patch tape.
