CreoScitex has announced three new imagesetters that will be released early next year, including a twin beam version of its B1 Dolev 800.
The Dolev 800V4 uses two lasers that image in parallel, producing 39 B1 films per hour at 2,540dpi, faster than Fujis multiple beam Luxel F-9000, which can produce up to 38 B1 films per hour.
Another new eight-up machine is the Dolev 800V3, which has improved electronics to increase its throughput by 50%, compared to the Dolev 800V2, to 26 B1 films per hour.
CreoScitex is currently beta testing a new B2 machine: the Dolev 4press V2.
This is capable of producing 33 B2 films per hour at 2,540dpi. The company is pushing it as a polyester platesetter as well as an imagesetter.
