The system is designed to integrate print and business workflow throughout the various stages of production. The EMS software covers estimating, purchasing, production planning and scheduling. The product includes JDF connectivity and according to Creo, the product extends "beyond traditional print MIS".

"Business systems have-n't kept pace with the dramatic increases in production efficiency that printers are experiencing after investing in digital pre-press, internet-based systems and more automated presses," said workflow and pre-press equipment general manager and vice president, Judi Hess.

EMS will be on show at Print 05, which runs from 9 to 15 September in Chicago.
