Leeds-based Creative Print has spent in the region of 700,000 on a Speedmaster SM52-5L five colour with coater and a Prosetter 74 violet platestter. It is the firms first move into full colour and CTP production.
We would like to reach our sales targets and be able to invest in a B2 press by the end of next year, said Creative Print managing director Delroy Goodison.
The deal also included Signastation imposition software, MetaDimension workflow and PrePress Interface software.
Meanwhile, Billingham Press has bought a Speedmaster SM52-5 replacing two two-colour presses, a GTO and an MO.
The Speedmaster won over rival machines from Komori and Ryobi, said Billingham Press managing director Ian Dodds. The level of automation and quality of output was convincing.
