Craftprint hints at future acquisitions on 30th anniversary

Digital and litho printer Craftprint has hinted it may be on the acquisition trail as it celebrates 30 years in print.

The 10-staff Bolton printer was founded in 1980 by current managing director Andrew Tait's father Jack. It will be holding a number of events during 2010 to celebrate 30 years in business.

Andrew said the company had grown from a local printer for Bolton to a regional printer that deals with accountants, law firms, the NHS and a number of SMEs across the North West.

He added: "Over the years, we have bought a number of other printers and we have moved premises several times in order to accommodate our growing customer list. Further acquisitions cannot be ruled out.

"It is no small achievement – for any business - to have been in business for 30 years, never mind one in the printing industry, which has seen enormous changes in technology and customer expectations over the past three decades."
