ProofGate is designed to drive wide-format printers as both a proofer and print-for-pay machine, something which Colourgen claims there is much demand for.
There are three versions of ProofGate: Entry, Standard and Profiler, with prices starting from 825, or 3,795 for a bundle with an Epson 4000 printer and a PC to run the RIP.
Target proof colour space is ISO 12647. The Standard version has the Fogra wedge for measuring and validating the proof.
The Profiler version includes tools so users can create their own profiles.
