City Wide, based just south of Blackfriars Bridge, claims to be the only site in the centre of the capital to have a 5m-wide machine.
We needed a real USP. We wanted to have the biggest machine in central London, said B&P Lightbrigade managing director David Burton.
The venture, which was opened at the start of the year, was launched to target the central London market and open up a new client base which B&P doesnt currently service. Its amazing how difficult weve found it is to service central London from Chertsey, said Burton.
As well as the 5m-wide machine, a Scitex Vision Grandjet that has been moved from B&Ps Chertsey site, City Wide also houses a B&P Grenadier, HP DesignJets, and front-end and finishing capabilities to provide a one-stop shop.
It intends to pick up demand from the centre of the capital for really short turnaround jobs.
City Wide is located in a railway arch just off Blackfriars road 75,000 was spent renovating the building to provide the new location.
Burton said that adding regional production offices like City Wide was part of the firms two-pronged approach to growth in the coming year.
The other side is the growth of its Uniform own-brand printers and consumables, which were launched last year. It promises a range of machines to join the Grenadier, which will be revealed at Sign UK.
The firm is planning to grow turnover to 16m-20m, up from the 14.6m it reported last year.
