Capital eyes 12m sales mark

Capital Print & Display is confident of posting a 12m turnover in 2004 after adding 30 new customers to its client list during the year.

The new business for the Stratford-based large format specialist, which moved into new 10m, 12,500m premises last summer, has added 850,000 to the 2004 turnover.

Head of sales and marketing David Carey declined to name the new clients, but said that 18 of them were in the retail sector. He expects the new clients to add 2.2m to turnover in the coming year.

He added that a second digital flatbed press would be installed later in 2005.

"It's a collaboration between two major manufacturers, and it will be launched at one of the print shows this year, but I can't tell you more than that," he said.

Two new salespeople have joined the 16-strong sales team. Carey reported that the company's super-wide KBA Rapida 205 will be installed in May.
