Buxton Press sales manager to scale Kilimanjaro for charity

An internal sales manager at Buxton Press is set to climb Kilimanjaro to raise money for schools in The Gambia.

Donna Meager  is taking on the challenge, which involves scaling the 5,895m mountain, to support the 'New Life Children's Centres' schools project.

Her attempt to climb the world's biggest free-standing mountain will take place in September 2009, but the fund raising and intensive training begins now.

Meager said: "The school needs to raise £25,000 in order to build enough space to house 150 children that don't have a space at the moment."

Among the 150 children without a school are two that Donna sponsors, Eddie and Miriama. Concerning the climb, she said: "I'm going to need all of the luck I can get!"
