The firm has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Fujifilm to supply 90% of the plates needed to feed the three Western Lithotech DiamondSetter 435 platesetters it is installing.
Broughton Printers chief executive David Broadhurst said: Being close neighbours to News International in Knowsley, we observed the success of the LP-NN plate for ourselves. We received a number of positive reports from users of the technology.
The company, which last week announced an extension of its contract with Sport Newspapers until 2008, will also be supplied with CTP plates from Lastra.
