BPS Print has secured a three-year 500,000 contract with Norwich City Football Club to produce its matchday programme.
The East Anglia-based company has printed the clubs programme, On the Ball, for the past 15 years, and for this season will produce a larger, 64pp programme. The first issue, launched at last Saturdays (18 August) home league game against Manchester City, came with a free fixtures wallchart pullout. The programme has a print run of between 5,000 and 8,500.
The run depends on the opposition, and whether or not theres likely to be a full house or not. The better the opposition the more supporters turn up. Theres lots of things we have to consider 24 hours before printing, including the weather forecast, said BPS marketing director Jerry Calaby.
The magazine is printed on the firms B2 Komori presses. If were ahead of time we print on the four-colour if we have last-minute results, we use our four-, five- and six-colour presses, said Calaby.
