Bousfield is offering an eight-up thermal CTP system including a RIP-once workflow for 100,000.
The company is putting together a Cymbolic Sciences PlateJet Emerald platesetter with Compose Systems Image and Proof workflow system in the price-busting package.
"People want to look at it because of the cost," said Bousfield's Electronic Imaging division director Paul Wheeler. "We've done six demonstrations in the first week since the PlateJet was installed."
The firm has installed the PlateJet and the Compose system at its pre-press demonstration centre in Swanley. Bousfield already sells Fuji and Agfa systems and consumables and Screen systems.
"It's great to have something different in Swanley," said Wheeler. "We can get customers to see Trueflow, Apogee and Celebra at the vendors' showrooms."
Bousfield is on the verge of signing its biggest pre-press deal yet for a Fuji CTP system worth 280,000.
It has also installed a
second Cymbolic Sciences PlateJet visible light platesetter for Tottenham-based direct mail firm MBA Group.
"With the first Emerald proving itself we wanted a second machine to maximise the benefits of CTP," said MBA Group managing director Bachar Aintaoui.
