The Bolton-based firm has replaced a Lotem platesetter in order to boost efficiency for both long and short-run work, including tourism brochures and educational stationery.
The 34-staff company, whose Heidelberg pressroom includes a B2 five-colour Speedmaster 74 and a 10-colour Speedmaster 74 perfector, installed the platesetters along with Heidelberg Prinect PrintReady workflow.
Shanleys director Steve Wray told printweek.com the dual setup would allow the firm to be "far more flexible with our platemaking. We can produce long-run, multi-pagination jobs on one Suprasetter while the other can be kept for short-run work."
He said the Suprasetter represented a mix of "quality, efficiency and value. We previously had a Lotem but it was time to upgrade."
