BAPC trainees finish scheme

The BAPC has helped three participants attain new qualifications through the free training programme that it launched last year.

The first to take part in the initiative Partners in Print senior partner Shabbir Hussein and general manager Paul Stokes, as well as CPI London office administrator Caroline Kenton have been awarded the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health's health and safety certificate.

The training scheme,  part funded by the European Social Fund, involved the BAPC sending one of the Institute's trainers to visit each of the individuals at work.

"Running a print business takes a great deal of time, but the three visits were spread out over six weeks, so there was minimal disruption," said Stokes.

"More importantly the in-house training meant that risk analysis undertaken related directly to the business," added Kenton.
