Azimuth offers online books with BQ270 buy

Commercial printer Azimuth Print has moved into short-run book printing after installing a Horizon BQ270 perfect binder from Intelligent Finishing Systems.

The Chipping Sodbury-based company, which employs 19 staff, has launched an on-demand book printing website, to complement its existing commercial print website.

Managing director Tony Edmonds said that the company did not previously possess a perfect binder and as a consequence, had not offered a book printing service.

He said: "This isn’t a huge investment, but short-run book printing complements what we already do. Hopefully it will encourage more loyalty from our customers – it will be one less thing for which they will need to go elsewhere.

"We can now offer anything from one book up and most of the work will be for self-
publishers.

"We are currently printing a run of 50 books on every goalkeeper to play for Aston Villa – it is that kind of thing."
