Atlas Software will show new versions of its variable data authoring application PrintShop Mail for Mac OS and Windows at Ipex.
Both versions will be faster and add support for hot folders, PPML and Unicode and double-byte fonts.
Hot folders are claimed to make it easier for end-users to produce their variable data jobs, especially in the corporate market.
"The hot folder feature should bring the office market closer to commercial print," said marketing manager Hans Huijsing.
Also new in the Mac version will be the ability to use PDFs for static background elements that until now have been limited to EPS files.
Atlas will also talk about future developments, which include support for VDX, the PDF-based version of PPML, OS X and an office version of PrintShop Mail for the corporate market.
