FoE forest campaigner Ed Matthew said Aprils environment director, Roland Offrell, had listened to the organisations recommendations and seemed responsive to its demands.
It was good to hear him say that he wants to improve its environmental image and turn the business around, but the only way it will change is if the market forces it to, said Matthew.
The report claimed that April had made false claims about the sustainability of its operations, and questioned whether it had the necessary permits for logging in the Tesso Nilo rainforest in Indonesia.
