Anglia printers set to put firms into CVL status

Norfolk-based printers Anglia Colour and Anglia Digital Print have called together a meeting of creditors, with a view to putting the companies into Creditors Voluntary Liquidation (CVL).

Both companies are understood to have run into difficulties over the past few months.

The ownership of Anglia Digital Print is divided 50/50 between Anglia Colour and fellow Norwich commercial printers F Crowe & Sons. When contacted by PrintWeek, F Crowe & Sons, director Mike Hipperson declined to give any further comment until after the creditors meeting.

Insolvency practitioners McTear Williams and Wood are handling the creditors' meeting.

A spokesman for McTear Williams and Wood said a vote would be held at the meeting to decide whether the companies enter into the CVL.

A small skeleton staff remains in place to complete work at the company's Sweet Briar Industrial Estate plant.
