A creditors meeting held on the 23 August voted in favour of the resolution, with insolvency practitioner McTear Williams & Wood appointed as liquidator to the two businesses.
A spokesman for McTear Williams & Wood said there would now be a period where any assets would be realised.
"It is hoped we will be able to make a distribution to creditors once this is completed," he said.
Peter Willard, secretary of the GPMU's East of England branch said he had been shocked by the events of the past week.
"It's a bizarre set of circumstances," he said.
The GPMU had around eight members across the two businesses.
A sale of equipment from the company's Sweet Briar industrial estate plant, which was a leased premises, is expected to be held soon.
Anglia's clients included Paragraph Publishing, publisher of Whisky Magazine, Wine Times and Scotland magazine.
