Q&A: Ian Cunningham, Global category lead – print, direct mail and branded merchandise, APS Group

Ian is 58 and has worked in the industry for 30 years, having originally trained in graphic design.

He’s been married to wife Andrea for 33 years, and has a son Oliver, daughter Harriet and grandson Jacob. Outside of work his hobbies include “most sports” and he enjoys rugby, cricket and football, and he’s also chair of a junior cricket league.

Why did you get into printing?

I trained as a graphic designer and worked in agencies mainly in London then latterly in the North. I had always bought print then moved over to print probably 20 years ago

What would be your dream job?

My current job isn’t bad; I get to meet lots of different people, travel, and work with great colleagues

Too many to mention; Revolver and Sgt. Pepper, The Beatles. More recently Michael Kiwanuka and Shaboozey
