The fibre is collected close to the production unit at UPM's Tervasaari paper mill in Finland.
Mikko Mensonen, product manager from UPM, said the product's runnability and strength are comparable to non-recycled brown MG papers.
He said: "This ecological and economical paper completes our MG Kraft envelope papers range.
He added that the grade was developed to meet "the clear need and demand for an environmental-friendly envelope paper in the European markets.
