Birmingham City University is celebrating the world’s most ubiquitous type style. As sans serif turns 200, the Centre for Printing History and Culture is putting on a one-day symposium and special exhibition in ode to its fame on 30 September. A wide range of academics will be addressing the audience on topics such as ‘Grotesque terminology’ and ‘The sans serif in Britain: development, deployment and influence’.
