Proofstream version 7.0 is the latest iteration from Canadian soft-proofing developer and supplier Nustream Graphic, which made inroads into the UK market following the formation of Nustream Europe late last year.
The new version of the online collaborative soft approval system also includes a separations viewing feature and the ability to view all versions of a page.
It also allows users to link directly with the GMG RIP server and Colour Server products through an integration facility, which imports settings for an efficient set-up.
The Proofstream product also interfaces directly to Agfa Apogee, Barco/Esko Graphics systems, CGS Normaliser, Fuji XMF, GMG RIP and Color Server, and Screen Trueflow systems.
According to Colin Taylor, development manager of Nustream Europe, Proofstream ties all production processes into one functional workflow system.
He said: "It is also a significant benefit for us to be able to offer a pre-prepared interface to GMG server products.
"There are significant numbers of these products out in the field, and Proofstream v.7 will offer these pre-press houses, designers, and commercial print businesses a software solution that is unrivalled in its capabilities."
Nustream Europe handles the distribution and development of its Proofstream products, which include Proofstream Pro, Lite and Enterprise editions into the European and Asian markets.
