Mutoh to launch 2.6m direct-to-textile inkjet machine

Mutoh is to launch a 2.6m direct-to-textile large format inkjet press, which it is demonstrating for the first time at the Fespa 2010 show (B2/160).

The 720dpi Viper TX 100 is the company's biggest textile press and incorporates a built-in rotatable print bed, enabling it to handle both fabric and transfer dye-sublimation printing. It also features adjustable head height, from 1.2-4mm.

According to Mutoh's president of European operations Arthur Vanhoutte the 76m2 per hour machine is perfect for soft signage, home furnishing and garments and apparel.

"Today's expanding demand for textile print is driving growth for digital printing in the wide-format industry," he added.
