ISL upgrades Catfish with Postcoder.com

UK software specialist ISL has signed an agreement with online address search provider Postcoder.com that it hopes will boost sales conversion rates through its Catfish web-to-print platform.

Catfish, which was launched last month as both a B2B and a B2C web-to-print platform for print and design agencies, is touted as an ‘end-to-end service' that enables businesses to create and manage their printed content while end consumers can create bespoke printed products and make payments through an integrated e-commerce system.

ISL has now announced an optional enhancement to the platform for clients that it hopes it will improve sales conversion rates of customers using Catfish sites, by cutting the amount of time they need to spend uploading their address details on it.

By incorporating the Postcoder.com address search system into the platform, the company claims that customer typing time will be reduced by up to 87% which in turn, it says, can increase online sales by almost 30%.

Managing director Douglas Gibson said that customers choosing to include the additional service module into their Catfish platform would pay a "small charge" to Postcoder.com.

Gibson added: "If we really want to be able to compete with other e-commerce sites this kind of additional service is an absolute necessity."

Meanwhile Douglas said that ISL had this week signed a partnership deal with US web-to-print specialists Page Technology to act as a supplier and distributor for the Catfish platform in the States. The deal marks ISL’s first foray in the US with the new platform.
