InfoPrint to demonstrate transpromo systems at Drupa

InfoPrint, the joint venture between IBM and Ricoh, has set out its offering for this year's Drupa, which includes a raft of transpromo applications for its InfoPrint 5000 inkjet drop-on-demand press.

The company will demonstrate its TransPromo Solutions Suite, which is designed to enable customers to combine the latest in print and personalisation technology with their existing IT infrastructure.

It comprises the InfoPrint 5000, InfoPrint ProcessDirector and software from partners such as Prinova, Mapping, GMC and Exstream.

The suite is designed to allow marketers to create and add promotional messages to transactional documents in a bid to increase their marketing value and increase response rates.

In addition, InfoPrint will also be demonstrating how a complete direct marketing service with communications channels across email, mail and SMS, can help companies focus their marketing.

This multi-channel marketing application combines an InfoPrint production printer and InfoPrint Workflow with Exstream Dialogue enterprise document automation software.

InfoPrint will also showcase its monochrome cut-sheet printer. The InfoPrint EMP156 outputs at speeds of up to 156ppm and is pitched as extending the InfoPrint cut-sheet family at the high end, targeting an affordable cost per page for in-house print operations.

InfoPrint Solutions EMEA general manager, Dermot O'Loughlin, said: "With Drupa 2008 marking the one year anniversary since the launch of InfoPrint Solutions Company, our relationship with Ricoh has gone from strength to strength."

He added: "We will be using Drupa as the platform to show new production offerings that combine Ricoh's technical prowess with InfoPrint's market expertise."
