Idempapers increases carbonless prices

Idempapers has increased the price of its carbonless products by up to 8%, a week after it announced that it was to increase the price of its speciality paper products.

The company said the increase was due to significant increases in energy and raw material costs, and that despite implementing cost reduction programmes, the level of recent increases left it "with little option" but to raise the price of its products.

It will increase its carbonless reels products by up to 8%, and up to 6% on carbonless sheets products as of 1 July 2011.

Last week, the company announced it had increased the price of all its speciality paper products by 7% as of 1 June.

Idempapers is now completely independent and has two plants in Belgium. Its two core businesses are carbonless papers and technical papers, and it manufactures the Idem brand of carbonless, label and poster papers.
