HH Global names Perez head of Americas

As part of an aggressive strategy to expand across the Atlantic, London-based HH Global announced the appointment of Mike Perez to become its president of the Americas.

Perez, most recently VP for marketing and business development at Nvision, told PrintWeek in an interview that one reason he took on the role was the opportunities for growth for HH Global, especially in the US.

"Internationally companies have already embraced the print outsourcing approach - so it's much more mature and open minded about print outsourcing," he said. "But in the US there are many companies that still use in-house procurement teams and antiquated technology in order to manage their print spends - so we recognize this can be a growth region for HH Global."

HH Global, a leader in outsourced procurement and management of print and marketing related services, has actually been in the US for our about 2 ½ years, primarily operating on a service model.

"But now we've taken a position and are starting to invest heavily in the US to introduce the concepts that we're perfected internationally, leveraging technology and leveraging a truly global manufacturing and logistics network." Perez said. "Marketers today want more than just print savings, so they're turning to us for innovation."

Founded two decades ago HH Global is currently in 28 countries and works with who's who of major worldwide brands, including Wal-Mart (International), Chevrolet, Harrods, RIM, Nokia, Google, HP, Pepsico, Sara Lee, Mars, Estée Lauder, Best Buy, ING and Exxon Mobil.

Perez suggested part of his role will be to attract US clients that initially may only have a domestic focus, but who may eventually grow internationally. "The marketplace has become smaller so the message for many companies now needs to get global, but on the domestic level we can provide a solution that provides the same level of technology, the same level of manufacturing, because even with a domestic campaigns you can leverage global assets that may keep down your costs."

Perez also talked of growth opportunities in Latin America, most notably Brazil, which is already a $16bn market. "The same inefficiencies we have in the US hold true in Latin America as well," he said.

Perez will be working out of HH Global's Chicago offices, but noted, "We're adding staff establishing additional offices all across the US to support not only the current demands of our clients, but also to support the aggressive acquisition strategy that we have for this market."
