Hampshire firm waves flag for charity

A flag company is hoping a donation of its printed bunting has helped kick-start the fundraising efforts of a couple who are set to take on an around-the-world motorbike charity challenge from November 2012.

Hampshire Flags, which produces hand-sewn and printed national and international flags and digitally printed banners, supplied the bunting for Sam Farah and Clare Southern’s fund-raising stand at an adventure travel event in Wales.

The couple, who are tackling the 60,000-mile trip to raise money for Riders for Health, Wales Air Ambulance and World Land Trust, said the bunting had helped them stand out and drawn a great level of supporters at show.

Farah added: "The bunting looked fantastic. It really drew people to our stand which helped raise the profile even more of our chosen charities."

An avid charity supporter, Hampshire Flags also prints materials for other fundraisers including swimmer and environmentalist Lewis Pugh and charities such as Action for Kids and the Samaritans.
