The Digital East event, which comes after Duplo's London Calling and Digital North days, is due to be held at Xerox supplier First Copy's site in the city on 9-10 March.

Machines on show include the Xerox 700 press, the Duplo Digital System 2000 bookletmaker, the DC-615Pro Multi Finisher and the DC-445 DuCreaser.

Digital specialists Print-On-Demand Solutions Group and e-commerce supplier Red Tie will also be present at the event.

Duplo marketing manager Peter Jolly said: "Printers are beginning to realise that the unfinished printed sheet is worth pennies, but the finished product is worth pounds.

"It is companies such as First Copy, who embrace the need to provide customers with a total solution that includes print finishing not just a single print engine, who will come out of this difficult time stronger."

According to Jolly, the previous two shows, held in Warrington and London exceeded expectations. He said that interest in digital finishing solutions is on the increase, with more "end-to-end" solutions being requested.
