According to the paper manufacturer, the product is the only one-sided coated recycled stock available to the packaging paper market with 60% FSC-certified recycled pulp and 40% FSC-certified virgin fibre pulp.
Angela De Vorchik, UK operational marketing manager, said the manufacture of the grade had a lower impact on the environment when compared to a non-recycled paper, reducing water consumption by up to 35%, electricity consumption by 20%, CO2 emissions by 20% and landfill by up to 55%.
"Using a recycled paper for product labelling and packaging is a tangible way that retailers or manufacturers can demonstrate a commitment to the environment, which is easy to implement and immediately visible for brands," she said.
She added that the range has a whiteness equivalent to that of non-recycled paper and can be used for both offset and traditional printing processes.
