Manchester print firm G&H has now officially gone into administration.

A number of employees have been laid off at the sheetfed and digital operations of G&H Print Services, and the firm’s website has been taken down.

Heidelberg has reported an increase in orders and turnover as it closes the first quarter of the 2018-19 financial year, with its longer-term targets looking increasingly “realistic”.

Manroland Sheetfed parent company Langley Holdings said the press manufacturing operation was “slightly ahead of plan” in the first half of 2018 but overall group revenue and profit was down.

G&H has sought protection from its creditors as it searches for a buyer to take over the business after suffering a six-figure bad debt.
