Easyfairs will host the inaugural London Packaging Week event from 21-23 September 2022.

The events company has overhauled and rechristened Packaging Innovations & Luxury Packaging London for its 10th birthday, bringing it in line with its other European events.

After finding success in Paris and Milan with packaging events ADF & PCD Paris and Packaging Première respectively, Easyfairs has decided to bring a targeted approach to the London luxury packaging showcase, now called London Packaging Week.

The new event will comprise four exhibitions on 21-22 September: Packaging Première for the luxury products market; PCD for perfume, make-up and toiletries; PLD for premium and luxury drinks; and Food & Consumer Pack for food.

Following the exhibitions, on 22 and 23 September, the Pentawards packaging awards will host its first face-to-face Pentawards Festival, featuring speakers from the global design and branding community and culminating in a ceremony at the Royal Opera House.

Josh Brooks, marketing and community director for Easyfairs’ packaging events, explained that the company had learned from its European experience that putting targeted events together in one location made the events more attractive to both suppliers and buyers.

He said: “The changes to our London event are the final piece in that puzzle and will bring a new experience to the whole community of packaging buyers, designers, and developers in and around London.

“Each event is designed to bring a sharp focus on packaging design and development for the capital’s key luxury and FMCG markets.”

The show has already booked more than 180 exhibitors across the four events, which will be over two floors at the London Olympia.

The venue will also host three separate galleries to showcase innovative and award-winning packaging design, one of which will feature the winners of the 2022 PCD and PLD Innovation Awards, first presented at Easyfairs’ event in Paris.

London Packaging Week will likewise have three seminar stages, with speakers across 21 and 22 September.

Brooks added: “As you can see, we’re working hard to create an event for the whole London packaging community – all the innovators and creators who are part of the world of design agencies, brands, and suppliers that make London’s packaging scene so exciting. We can’t wait to welcome everyone there.”
